Why We Are the Best
The ScorePerfect Instructor Helpline offers students convenient academic support
outside of class.
The ScorePerfect Instructor Helpline is a toll-free number that we encourage our
students to call for academic help. The Helpline is open weekdays from 12PM to 3PM
Central Time. The Helpline provides our students
with the opportunity to interact one-on-one with the instructors who teach the ScorePerfect
LSAT Course.
Each of the fifteen lessons in our course is accompanied by an extensive homework
assignment, and ScorePerfect students spend a considerable amount of time preparing
for the LSAT outside of class. When our students get stuck on particular homework
questions, they do not have to wait until their next class to get help—personal
assistance from an LSAT expert is just a phone call away. Students are also welcome
to ask questions from other parts of the course, including the diagnostic tests
and the materials distributed at the LSAT Jams. In addition, students sometimes
use the Helpline to ask general questions about the fundamental concepts that are
taught in class. For example, in the early stages of the course some students struggle
with the rules of formal logic. The instructors on the Helpline always take the
time to make sure these students understand the rules and how to apply them.
One of the best aspects of the Helpline is its convenience. At home, at school,
or wherever else our students choose to work on LSAT material, they know that telephonic
assistance is available to them. The Helpline also transcends local boundaries:
our students are plugged into a national network of the top instructors in the LSAT
preparation field. Regular users of the Helpline enjoy the benefit of learning from
a variety of instructors, and no other company provides students with access to
as many LSAT instructors as ScorePerfect does.
Some LSAT preparation companies advertise that students who enroll in their courses
can receive unlimited extra help from their instructors outside of class. Their
use of the term "unlimited" is misleading, at best. In practice, only students who
make special arrangements with their instructor to meet outside of class receive
any extra help. Some students may not even have the opportunity to schedule time
with their instructor, because the instructor may have a second job or other classes
to teach, thus limiting his or her availability. In addition, the hassle of having
to prearrange meetings with an instructor precludes the possibility of getting help
when the need arises unexpectedly. It is not uncommon for students in other LSAT
programs to have to wait up to a week for their next class meeting in order to get
a homework question answered. ScorePerfect students, in contrast, have a reliable,
consistent resource that they can turn to for expert assistance every weekday. The
Helpline ensures that our students are never placed in the awkward position of feeling
like they are inconveniencing an instructor or asking for a favor when they request
extra help. Even ScorePerfect students who need a considerable amount of one-on-one
assistance can get that assistance telephonically from the privacy of their own
homes, without the embarrassment that might arise from constantly having to ask
for it.
